Ease of Use

The Ryobi 40V brushless lawn mower is easy to use right out of the pack. There is no assembly of parts required. It folds up flat, all you need to do is turn the knobs, extend the handles and you are good to go. There is a battery slot open where you can insert the 40V included batteries.

At full charge this battery should be enough to completely mow an averagely sized lawn. There is an extra space to place a second battery in case you have acres of land to mow.

With a simple shift of the knob, the blade height can be adjusted to your needs. Once adjusted, it’s time to effortlessly mow your lawn. The startup process is easy, insert the battery and place the safety key. Without the safety key the mower won’t start. Next, pull down the bar and push the button to start the lawn mower. The safety key feature is useful in preventing hazardous scenarios (like from curious kids playing in the yard).

Battery Power

At full charge one Ryobi battery can last up to 40 minutes. The Ryobi mower can house up to 2 batteries to help users mow for an extended period. If you purchase extra batteries you will have up to 80 minutes of mowing time. However, the batteries are prone to drain up faster if you mow thick grasses.

Cutting-Path

We recommend this mower for those who have lawns that are half an acre in size. It has a pretty small cutting deck of about 20 inches. Operators can adjust the height in seven incremental steps ranging from 1.5 t0 3.75 inches. To do this, pull the lever just at the left-hand side of the mower’s deck.

To store, as we have said before, it folds easily on the side and can be placed vertically against a supporting wall frame.

Using the Ryobi 40V Lawn Mower

Ryobi electric lawn mowers are excellent starters. The mower starts instantly with the press of a button while the safety keys are in place. We must advise though, that it isn’t a self-propelled lawn mower, so if you have a steep hill to mow,  you will be better off with self-propelled lawn mowers.

At the rear, you have the option of mulching your lawn as you mow or picking up grass clippings for reuse. We recommend Ryobi lawn mower as an environmentally friendly alternative to the gasoline operated lawn mowers

Lightweight but Sturdy

Despite the numerous features of this lawn mower, it still manages to be extremely lightweight. Weighing just 55 pounds we envisage that it will be somewhat easier to push around the garden or lawn without putting much strain to your backs and joints. The only draw-back is that it isn’t self-propelled.
